Collection of upper respiratory tract specimens for COVID-19 diagnostics

This site describes how to collect upper respiratory tract specimens for initial diagnostic testing for current SARS-CoV-2 infections. The techniques described are based on the recommendations from the WHO, CDC, and relevant scientific literature.

The site can be freely used in the education of healthcare workers who perform PCR tests and antigen tests (also known as rapid tests) for COVID-19.

The site is developed by independent doctors and is supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation in relation to the scientific project SAMPLE.
